Starting from zero is easier when you have someone who knows how to build a strong foundation without overwhelming you.

A More Personal Way to Start Playing Guitar

Learning guitar as a beginner is about building confidence alongside technique. I focus on getting you comfortable with the instrument, understanding basic music theory, and playing songs you actually want to play as quickly as possible. The goal isn't perfection; it's progress and enjoyment. You'll learn proper hand positioning, basic chord shapes, strumming patterns, and how to read music or tabs, all while developing the muscle memory and ear training that makes playing feel natural.

Every beginner has different reasons for picking up a guitar, and I structure lessons around what motivates you. Whether you want to play acoustic around a campfire, dive into electric rock, or explore fingerstyle, we'll build the fundamentals that apply across all styles. You'll leave each lesson with clear practice goals and the confidence that you're moving in the right direction.

Ideal For

• People who've never played guitar before and want a structured start

• Adults returning to music after years away

• Anyone who wants to learn at a comfortable pace without pressure

• Players who want to understand the "why" behind what they're learning

How It Works

1. Initial Assessment: We talk about your goals, musical interests, and any experience you have, then I design a lesson plan tailored to you.

2. Hands-On Learning: Each session covers technique, music theory, and songs, with plenty of time to practice what you're learning.

3. Practice Between Sessions: You'll get specific exercises and songs to work on at home, building skills steadily between lessons.
